Both my son and I thought the whole concept of reading a flip-sided book to be quite neat. The illustrations of the animals are gorgeous. Each time I've opened this digital book I've poured over the illustrations! The book shows a variety of scenes with a parent and child as they go about their activities of the day; at breakfast, at playtime, after school, and at nighttime. Young children love to have the same book read to them over and over and with this book you can do that by flipping the book over and reading more about hugs and love but with a different set of animals. This never ending book is a great addition to a young child's library as they grow to learn more about to read a book: from left to right English speaking.

I love how each parent and child is framed on the page and how the backgrounds or lack of them work with the colors. And the adult depicted could be a mother or father or even a grandparent. The love of a parent is really strong, and it was so much fun to see the various forms of love and various times and situations. It acts almost as a thank you from child to parent. The illustrations--full color spreads--are so beautiful, with a variety of different animals, and kids will love looking at them.

This is a beautiful book for parents to read together with their young child. The illustrations of the animals are gorgeous. I adore how we start from all the ways a parent and child can spend extra time together then we flip it over and go through all the ways a parent serves their child as a way of saying I love you. I wish we had the real book on hand as he loved the puffin parent and child drawing, it was too hard for him to draw having only half the page so he picked the octopus couple which he drew amazingly well. It is a never-ending love story and just like the circle of love. Being a fan of hugs myself, I was definitely interested in having a look at this book.
