Despite their growing friendship, when a slight, involuntary movement from Day alerted June of his identity, the pain of the demise of her brother and the confusion surrounding his death eventually fueled June to turn him and his family in. She says nothing, but follows Day when he wakes, watching him enter his house. Spyro then tells Cynder that he doesn't want her to go, revealing that he does hold some feelings for her. It is later revealed that he was the one who murdered Metias under orders from the Republic and had framed Day for it. He tries to resist capture, but Thomas, Metias's childhood friend, and the new captain of Metias's old military unit, shoots Day's mother in the head, killing her. Their struggles and mistakes pulled you into the story and made this a book that I had trouble putting down. There is a ton of grain in many scenes as well as some cross coloration and even a washed out looking image.

Legend ends with Day and June having escaped Los Angeles and been abandoned by the Patriots to fend for themselves. When Link enters this realm, he transforms into a and the gameplay shifts radically. A deeper exploration of loyalty and betrayal, especially for June, would have been more compelling to me as well. Champion moves the drama from inner-Republic tensions to the global stage, with the war between the Colonies and the Republic and their allies providing the background for Day dealing with his brain tumor and June learning how much she hates being in politics. At E3 2011, much of the game was unraveled by Miyamoto and Aonuma, including a new flying mechanism in the game.
